Cris Eli Blak's The Final Verses of The Prophet and Wiz presents the question: what if the story of Jesus and Judas took place today, in an abandoned apartment, with two young Black men from the hood, one that is in hiding after committing a murder, and the other a private school pariah? When a young woman with scars of her own and the brother of the murder victim come into their lives, these young men must wrestle with the complex equations of loyalty, race, street ethics, forgiveness, and redemption.
